The remodeled design of Unit 254 is unique among all other Park Avenue Condominiums and has several advantages. The first level is now completely open and spacious, although the kitchen, dining & living areas are still distinct. There are no obstructing kitchen walls to "chop up" the floor plan as in the original layout. Most importantly, the dining room and kitchen counter have been "flip-flopped" so the counter is more logically located at the entrance instead of the dining room. This provides a larger space near the fireplace for adjacent dining and living areas and greater access to the TV or stereo - even while dining. It also changes the view orientation more to the back of the unit to take advantage of the fantastic vistas of the golf/ski courses and mountains. Further, the improved utilization of space with the kitchen counter at the entrance now allows for a bench by the door, a coat rack on a nearby wall and a boot & glove dryer underneath it. This makes it much easier to take off / put on boots, shoes and outer wear. The counter is perfect for meals, to do some work (a phone and extra line for Internet access is included) or even fold laundry since the newly added washer/dryer is nearby. Built-in stereo speakers in the kitchen also provide great music for this area. In addition, whether sitting at the counter or cooking, better and more convenient views of the hot tub are provided. The remodeled first floor layout is "one-of-a-kind" and greatly improves the usability, appearance and comfort of the unit. |
